Time marches on...

Wow. I really am bad at this. It's been over 2 months since my last post. Oh well. I'm now halfway through my Acting Manager position at Highlands library. It's been going well, but I'm exhausted pretty much all the time, kind of like when I was teaching. Steep learning curve I guess. I've applied for the Sprucewood position so we'll see what happens with that. Less than 2 months till Christmas - Fort gigs have been confirmed, and Gillian has agreed to sub for me when I have Pro Coro conflicts, so that's great! I've been off work sick for the past couple days because I was really dizzy. Now I'm just a little dizzy. Maybe I should see a doctor. Or maybe it's just going around. A couple of the girls at work have been dizzy this week too.
We went to Studio E to see The Elevators on Saturday evening. Andrea was there too - forgot to mention that I got another tattoo the day before my birthday - my bunad pattern. We went to Shan-E-Punjab for supper on my birthday and then to see SRK in Don. For Halloween Bill sprayed his hair black, painted his nails black his face white and his lips red and went as a vampire. He wore a frilly shirt and his black velvet jacket. He looked great! I went as a monarch butterfly. I had to give a talk to the library technician students at Grant MacEwan about teen services, and this one girl was really distracting because she was wearing cat-eye contacts. Wish I had some.
What I'm reading now: Skippyjon Jones by Judy Schachner (kids book about a bratty Siamese kitten who hangs out with chihuahuas and calls himself "El Skippito"), The Temple Dancer by John Speed, (adult novel about Goa), Montmorency on the Rocks by Eleanor Updale (teen novel about a Victorian gentleman/thief, sequel to Montmorency: Thief, Liar, Gentleman).
